Top customer reviewsBy Mary on 4th May 2018 Size 40 fits just right and comfy! By Graham Rowett on 29th April 2018 Arrived promptly and are just as expected use for tai chi By robert smith on 1st April 2018 My child finds it comfortable & fill well By Scrapyard dog on 18th February 2018 Been using them for Tai Chi. They are comfortable to wear and allow you to feel the floor through the sole, something trainers do not do. I have had no problems with slipping on a hard wood floor. No evidence yet of the material stretching, they are as tight a fit as when I first wore them. I shall be buying another pair. By fitz on 3rd February 2018 Item as described, Fast delivery, Good fit. Very light. The soles will need to roughed up by walking outside for a while as they proved to be slippery on the dojo floor when new. otherwise perfect By Gill Stevenson on 25th September 2017 Decent quality shoe with cotton stitched soles so are perfect for protecting ankles and knees in Tai Chi. However are too tight to wear socks with and could therefore need a size bigger than usual. By J R. on 8th September 2017 Very comfortable slippers, thanks. By sky on 9th July 2017 Chinese size 10 a little tight By Janette S. on 26th June 2017 Bargain for the price By maccaal on 16th October 2016 Just what my husband needed for his Tai Chi classes and reasonably priced too By ME247 on 12th October 2016 Very comfortable indoor slippers. A nice change from the kind of thing your Auntie might buy you ;-) By Athos on 22nd September 2016 I love these shoes. I wear them as slippers and pretend I'm in a shaw brothers film. By clairelj123 on 8th July 2016 Brought these for my stepdad for his tai chi lessons and he finds them nice and comfy By eddie pajak on 26th May 2016 Very comfortable, bought size 10. Have wide feet and was worried about size to purchase. Need not have worried, good fit. Speedy delivery. By tracie charles on 30th April 2016 Theses were a gift really nice By Prof.H on 16th April 2016 Comfy but slippery By Bellemorte on 11th March 2016 Excellent. I use them for Qigong and they are very comfortable and stable. I find the cotton sole far better than the rubber soled ones. By Hobo on 29th January 2016 I got these for my boyfriend and he loves them. He says they are very comfortable. So much so that I ordered another pair. Unfortunately, it's been a month and I'm still waiting for them to be delivered. Still, it will (almost) be worth the wait.Update: I never ever received the second pair after waiting for 4 months! Shame. By wisespider on 22nd January 2016 Low quality but cheap By Glynis on 22nd January 2016 Remembe not to wear them outside if wet! By K P Hughes on 18th January 2016 Bought as Xmas presents By Pancho Martinez on 8th January 2016 I'm still looking for soem tai chi slippers that have a more rounded tip but impossible to find. Theses are slightly tapered at the top. By Bored@Work on 14th December 2015 A well fitting, quality item. I use these a 'house slippers' as they are lightweight, comfortable and don't make my feet sweat. In fact they are so good, I have often gone out of the house not realising I still had them on! Will re-buy when they wear out. By Sean K. on 25th November 2015 As mentioned by a previous reviewer order a size larger than you would normally if you have average feet sizes. Mine aren't lasting too long around the house (about 6 months) with the usual mix of carpet & tiled flooring, they haven't fallen apart but the soles are wearing through and small black bits get deposited on the carpet (a bit like cheap socks). Having said this they are really comfy & breathable so I wouldn't not get them again. By Mr. J. A. Falconer on 17th October 2015 good By M. McGowan on 13th September 2015 Very comfortable little shoes. They are very light and feel as though you are wearing hard bottomed socks. I highly recommend these but they are pretty much for indoor use only as they absorb a lot of water. They also offer little to no grip so be careful on polished floors. By Matt Quayle on 5th August 2015 I have had many pairs of these. Even of the mats they make a cracking shoe for around the house. By R. E. Bowers on 14th June 2015 it was the biggest size available By Asif on 15th May 2015 Perfect! I prefer the fabric over the plastic type. Well made and quick delivery. By bluebird on 1st April 2015 Just what expected. Fellow students told me they do stretch a bit with use which is fair enough, can wear another pair of socks when that happens. I really suffer from cold feet and usually wear many socks but find the soles on these keep my feet warm in class even though I can't be very active. Will probably buy another pair (or a couple to save future postage!) By simc on 12th March 2015 I had already bought a pair of these for myself, these ones are for my wife and are perfect for our trip to Japan. By GTK on 27th January 2015 Perfect and comfortable. Use as slippers at home. No good for going out in the garden when its wet. By Mr. G. Barrett on 9th December 2014 Comfy By S Bottom on 26th November 2014 These shoes are extremely comfortable and excellent quality. They are perfectly designed to glide across the floor. Will be buying another couple of pairs of these. By JWakeman on 15th September 2014 As described. By F on 30th July 2014 Good value By Retriever470 on 28th July 2014 I bought these solely for Tai Chi and they fit the bill perfectly. Comfortable and flexible. By Ben D on 22nd July 2014 I buy these slippers all the time. They might not last that long if you do a bit of physical exercise while wearing them due to sweat, but they are cheap so buying a fresh pair is no problem.Much more comfortable than traditional slippers (which I hate) By Dave Robertson on 14th June 2014 great slipper /shoes but get the correct size in my experience as they will stretch and a size bigger is too big By PETER on 21st April 2014 cotton sole not so good with the rain... indoor is fine.. buy the rubber sole ones i recommend .. i did By Mr. K. White on 4th February 2014 ONLY FAULT IS UNDER BIG TOE, THEREFORE I RE-INFORCED MY 2ND PAIR WITH SOFT SIDE OF SOME VELCRO, IF CONSIDERING BUYING, GO FOR 1/2 SIZE TOO SMALL AS THEY STRETCH. THEY MAY ALSO BE A LITTLE SLIPPY AND I WALK MORE SENSIBLE WITH THESE COMFORTABLE COTTON SOLES. YET I AM SUPER DELIGHTED TO OWN, AND HOPE TO KEEP A PAIR IN MY POSSESSION TILL KINGDOM COME By A Thompson on 5th December 2013 Quality shoe. Seem to last longer than other makes I've tried. By MR M C DOLMAN on 24th November 2013 I was looking for a suitable shoe to play drums in public places. These soft thin soled kung fu shoes do an excellent job!. and they are extremely comfortable. I employ a lot of different bass/kick drum technique, which requires a lot of heel-toe/foot-sole to pedal board sensitivity, and these shoes are great and do the job! They were slightly slippery at first, but took no time to adjust to. Otherwise you would be paying 5 times the price for gimmick drum shoes or for a little less jazz dance shoes. These kung fu shoes are no fuss, slip them on and your ready to go. By Mrs H D Bright on 10th September 2013 These are much-loved and used by my husband. As an instructor he gets through a lot of kung fu slippers and rates the cotton soled ones very highly By Alexandra on 31st July 2013 Very good quality. So good, in fact, that someone nicked them from my cubby hole in the ladies' changing room at my tai chi club and left a pair of old worn-out ones in their place! So I'm going to get two more pairs from this supplier as they are better than the ones I used to get - very well cut, slightly more padded. Yes, they are very snug when you first put them on but they ease up nicely very quickly. The sole feels lusciously cushioned. As others have noted, they make excellent house slippers too. By Mondo Cane!!!! on 28th July 2013 Perfect for wearing around the house, unless you have slippery floors maybe....i have nothing to do with kung fu,however i would imagine if you needed to go to the fridge in stealth mode, these would work perfectly well.....i really like them, very comfortable :) oh and cheap!! By Colin Ashby on 19th May 2013 Ordered a pair of 45 (I take between 10 and 11) but they were far too small. Suppose you need them to be snug so they don't fly off when you're kicking people.Sent them back with a reply paid label and got a pair of 46 back immediately.Only wear them as slippers and they are excellent. By Jesse Durkan on 1st May 2013 I use these as house slippers, not for beating up Chuck Norris, for which I would use my bare feet. I'm a UK size 11 and they were tight to start off with but now, a few weeks later, are a little loose and, I fear, would fly off if I was attempting a flying roundhouse kick. By jw on 28th April 2013 Very comfortable for doing Tai Chi, much nicer than wearing socks. Should have ordered two pairs but I only wear them in the studio so no problem. By Foxfire on 17th April 2013 This may not be the cheapest pair available on Amazon, but it is well made, with it full through stitching and well fitting. The toe design is tastefully squared off.I use mine as household slippers and when I have to stay in hospital. Looks great with trousers or jeans. Very comfortable under foot. Brilliant Product By Jo on 6th February 2013 Lovely feel and great to do chi gung in them. Did need the half size bigger to equate to my size. They are very comfy and I might order another pair just to wear round the house!! By mary shields on 19th January 2013 I love these shoes, they are just what I wanted for my T'ai Chi classes. My only concern is the postage cost as much as the shoes. Not sure if they came from abroad, if they did that would account for the cost of postage. By Gumo1965 on 9th January 2013 These are a good price but when my son tried on the size 11's that we ordered they were a very tight fit. By Kindle Customer on 18th December 2012 Lovely, made of natural fibers, light, they do not drag or catch when you move, silent and above all, very comfortable. I'll be getting more pairs to have in reserve. Thoroughly recommend this product By Derek on 11th July 2012 Blitz did a great job of getting these shoes to me quickly. I practice Kuk Sool Won.
The shoes themselves are fine for practicing forms and take-down techniques but as people have said in previous reviews they offer NO grip if you are running / moving quickly over slippery mats or wood flooring. I wear an insert in shoes so can't train in bear feet and find it very difficult to find a good all round shoe. These are ok as long as you are careful not to slip... By RDKells on 10th June 2012 I recently started 'Wing Tsun' and have been wearing espadrilles for training, but after a week or 2 I was on the hunt for some 'Martial Art Slippers' after a look around I decided that cotton sounds more comfortable than plastic. When I first got them, as commented by others, they were a tight fit, I ordered size 12 (46 euro I think?) and they were tight, but after about 10 mins of wearing they fit snuggly. The cotton sole doesn't provide much grip, which is good for manuvering quickly etc. But if you're going to be doing some flying kicks etc could be dangerous on your landings. Also, I don't recommend wearing them outside if it's raining, I walked about 20M to my car on a freshly rained on floor (no puddles)just wet tarmac and they were absolutely soaked, seem to absorb every drop of water they could in the 20 seconds I was walking. All in all a good product so far, I wear them for 2 and a half hour sessions 3 or so times a week and they are comfty and not falling apart after 3 weeks of use. Have recommened them to a few people at my Martial Arts School too after them having a look etc and liking the look of them. By D C on 8th March 2012 Comfy, wear them all day in the house. Arrived within 48 hours. By Alex on 19th February 2012 I bought these shoes since I have wooden flooring in my flat and I needed shoes with soft soles to reduce the noise to my neighbours underneath. I was very pleased with the shoes as they are very quiet and very comfortable to wear. So happy I bought another pair By billy-bob basket-case on 19th October 2011 Well, it's been a good couple of years since any item I'd ordered via Amazon and/or a seller arrived this quick (I guess there are so many of us shopping online)!I ordered these little fellas and within 24 hours I was balancing precariously on greasy poles, defending my sister's honour and combating evil shaolin monks!...sweet!!Btw, these are a bit on the snug side, though within a very short while they felt fine (the cotton adjusts to one's feet) but you might want to buy a size up.Love 'em. By The Reviewer on 8th October 2011 Good and comfortable to wear and also for the use of training purposes. However not suitable for very hard training that incorporates leg work as with some martial arts because with the wear and tear they eventually to split at the seams, and they can also stretch which means they do not stay on your feet after a while. So this needs to be taken into consideration when purchasing. By Brian Phillips on 15th April 2011 By far the best martial arts shoes you can get. I use them daily for an hour of Tai Chi.....indoors and outdoors. I am a size 9 but with wide feet so I bought a size 10 for more comfort.....no need as the canvas moulds perfectly to the foot. I shall buy another pair but this time size 9!! By sgk on 10th November 2010 Can be used for indoor training and double up as brilliant house slippers for winter! By Mr. P. Dimmock on 4th October 2010 Pretty good traditional shoes. Light weight. If your going to use these on a slippery surface like laminate floor take care as they offer no grip. Will help to strenghten your legs while a stance or practicing foot work as you will have to tense your leg muscles in order to stop your feet slippin from under you. Very nice shoes. Blitz will get them to you fast! By Jason Lane on 4th October 2010 I've bought many pairs of these types of kung fu shoes over the years, and these definitely rank up there with the best of them. Quite often you'll find that kung fu shoes have either hard plastic or rubber soles, but these have the more traditional cotton ones, which personally I prefer as they feel more natural, and have slightly more give. Even though I bought them primarily for use while practising tai chi, I tend to wear them all the time around the house too as these are padded inside, so are extremely comfortable to wear. I only have one slight complaint about these, which is that the shoe size is printed in quite large numbers on the bottom of the soles. It's only a minor niggle though, and doesn't affect the quality of the shoe, so don't let it stop you from choosing these over other lesser quality items. All in all, highly recommended.
