However I wish the belts core could be thicker as it is only a few millimeters thick and when the outer layer breaks down it will be very weak but overall a very nice obi. Does the job and my black belt for training and coaching. Only slight demote from 5 to 4 star is that I'm quite slim and this is a tight fit belt with very little slack - might be best getting a size up for the best fit. I purchased it as my old belt wasn't fitting too well on me as I grew up and I really recommend it. Definatly a noticble, thick, heavy duty belt that being silk will fray with time :) Ordered this for a Black-Belt in our club and it stands alone among many other more expensive black-belts....he loved it. The extra thickness adds 2 making it look longer aswell. it's lovely, and Blitz did a really good job of pushing this to make it arrive on time-and it did! Couldn't ask for more.
