Use them for jiu-jitsu sparring, others in our club use them for Karate sparring too. Great to have in the bag as part of your essentials. The padding is sufficient and they're comfortable. The only drawback I've experienced is that throughout fighting, the padding slides back into the cuff section of the mitt and then you're essentially hitting with knuckles. These mitts are fabric so dry out quickly. Also they can be sponged or washed. Ideal for beginners or the more experienced.
