By Matt Ferridge on 5th December 2013 Firstly the belts are good value for money and so cant complain too much really. They hold the Gi jacket closed, so do their job. However, having come from a different martial art before being involved in Judo, I would say that I find them a little thin. As in the depth of the belt, not the width (top to bottom when worn). I prefer the feel of a thicker stiffer belt, which only seem to be available for Deluxe Black Belts within judo. However, they are the belt of choice for our club to issue after gradings, and we have no complaints nor do we get any that have stitching fray etc, so they are built well.
