Top customer reviewsBy I. Evans on 29th January 2016 does the job - excellent value By g.s on 30th December 2015 Good product if you are below average in the gentleman department. If you fit that bill then go for it. A number of us tried the item on and even taking into account we had briefs on none of us were happy with the cup room (or lack of should I say) By A H on 5th August 2015 Excellent buy for my teenage son, good quality By J Chalk on 5th August 2015 Great protection when sparring but uncomfortable doing sit ups ect as it digs into your stomach.. By J Chalk on 5th August 2015 Great protection when sparring but uncomfortable doing sit ups ect as it digs into your stomach.. By R Thomas on 23rd March 2015 Great value for money!! By jasneiass on 21st February 2015 I purchased it about a month ago at the same time I replaced my gi. The groin support feels pretty solid. But wish I'd gone for the next size up, as the elastic is pretty tight round the waist . By Michael Lorimer George on 26th November 2014 I have owned this piece of kit for a very long time, and has saved me more times than I can count. Look after your prized jewels in confidence this product will keep you safe, so you can train minus a serious injury. However it can be a real shock wearing this groin guard to get it in the groin with a Kali stick, with out it scrambled eggs. Invest now and train safe.... :) By Darren on 25th November 2014 Took two full blown kicks direct to the groin, in a tournament no problems. Highly recommended price of equipment. By C Allen on 25th November 2014 Exactly the job that it is designed for, we sell loads of them each year! By Ciaran on 24th November 2014 Great product, great fit, it's much more comfortable then the standard groin guard but it does take a little while to get used to. I like that it curves underneath to really offer full protection! By A Watts on 21st November 2014 A well made, very strong product. Comfortable to wear and discrete. Would recommended. By Slaila on 11th November 2014 Good quality, easy to put on and comfortable to wear. By michael on 5th November 2014 Great groin guard, supremely comfortable, quite small for the sizes but still adequate, the text actually reads"BLITZ BORN 2 FIGHT" which I have no problem with considering it is under my Gi (karate suit). Provides great protection from kicks such as mawashi geri (roundhouse) but I am uncertain of its proficiency with maigeri (front kick). Will (hopefully not angrily!) update soon with results in that department. Great piece of kit with all the charm you could ever ask for from an assless cup! By Cormac on 3rd March 2014 I do karate and it is comfortable and sits well. I have a 28/30 waist I'm small and a medium fits well would definitely recommend this guard. By Matt Bray on 6th December 2013 For the price (and taking into account my valuation of my genitals) this is a steal. Very happy with it, I can now take many a groin hit with near impunity. By Carl on 5th December 2013 Kept me protected for years of Krav Maga training, which involved a lot of groin kicks. I wouldn't recommend it for grappling though. By David D Rowson on 6th November 2013 I wore this badboy for my Dan grading sparring (20 man knockdown) it took at least 3 solids kicks for me and it cushioned them all. It sits well and keeps everything inside that should be and everything outside that should be. All that and it doesn't cost much. By Eleyte on 29th September 2013 It fits comfortably and manages to keep you completely covered, i do Krav maga so its had to stand up to some serious punishment. after about 6 months of use it has split partially from a particularly brutal kick but its held up admirably By Charlie James on 23rd April 2013 This groin guard suits my needs almost perfectly. All round protection including underneath (shielding me from any instep blows or blows from behind) and also around the higher regions around the pubic bone and bladder area (also bloody hurts if caught there) The one thing i'd say is MMA fighters who do alot of ground work may be more comfortable with something more snug and fitted as aposed this this bulky number. On the ground i find it uncomfortable and can sometimes be more the cause of pain as apposed to the protection.I train in Kenpo of many different variations so on my feet it is perfect. The one fall down of the groin guard itself is the straps dont hug quite as tight as i'd like but that's just me being picky. It still does the job very well. Well worth it for the price! By Mike Edwards on 3rd December 2012 I always use Blitz products for the sheer quality and dependability - the groin guard is excellent value for the price ! By 2ndcitylocks on 9th August 2012 Comfortable to wear, I bought when I trained krav maga and you get a fair few kicks in the nuts training this By Chris on 22nd July 2012 The biggest issue here (no pun intended) is knowing what size to buy. I guess that I was lucky in that it is a good fit and comfortable (well, as good as these get). It is secure when on and does not move about. By Frank Kelly on 15th March 2012 Very good item if a little awkward to wear at first. By Clouseaus Body Double on 22nd November 2011 They arrived on time and matched the description. Build quality seems excellent. Not yet had an opportunity to try them in actual sparring. I admit that they were larger than expected. This was the medium and it made me feel somewhat inadequate in that department. It did give me pause to wonder exactly how large the large is. By Billy-joe on 1st October 2011 Good bit of kit for the price By A. Brayshaw on 27th May 2011 this is a great groin guard if you are using it for sports such as karate, kickboxing etc however as an MMA practitioner i found the design really uncofortable. when i was on my back with my sparing partner in my guard, i found the hard plastic edges of the guard were digging into my tendons and during training it would shift around alot and pinch me.also the stitching between the leather and the elastic started to come apart after only its second use.to conclude this is an acceptable groin guard if you train in stand up contact sports but is very uncomfortable for ground fighting sports. By kknb0683 on 5th April 2011 Bought this for Krav Maga where at my current ability level we practise low impact groin strikes. My previous groin protector took some of the shock but still left me in too much pain to want to let someone practise even low impact strikes. This protector seems to shrug off the impacts leaving me in no pain at all - although I have found that I have to wear it under my shorts/trousers in order to keep the cup fitting snug enough for this. The only downside so far is that the padded section at the top (waistband) restricts my movements (eg bending etc), and so only 4 stars instead of 5. By ED on 7th January 2011 Very tough can deal with the sharpest of kicks. Fits well and comfortable By The Truth on 6th January 2011 I train mainly in Krav Maga and Muay Thai, and for any serious fighter this is the style of box you want protecting your crown/family jewels.Cricket boxes are fine if you do Karate, but if you're training seriously you're going to need a box like this that offers you full protection - and by that I mean the tough plastic casing carries on between/under your legs and stops just short of your bum. It's the only way you're going to get full protection from wayward Knees and full-on groin kicks and strikes. Sorry, but little cricket boxes just don't cut the mustard and you're balls just get caught all the time. The covering is a faux leather type material and I find a little vaseline works wonder along the edges when worn against the skin (ooer missus!), otherwise it can rub a bit. It has 2 jock-strap style straps that rest under your buttocks and connect to a stong, sturdy, thick elastic waist band.I too would agree with the comment that says, order a size bigger than you think you'll need - Again, just like him I'm not boasting either, but I've been told by ex GFs that I have an 'ample asset' to protect, and with this in mind I ordered BIG - but could still have gone a size bigger still. The only problem with this is that although the waist strap fits fine, the butt holding straps dangle about and don't really hug my bum- oh well. As long as my balls are still intact, who cares, hey guys! And when I say 'hey guys' I'm not asking your opinion - LOL... work it out. By P. Jackson on 27th October 2010 ... (and I'm not boasting here), it is a little narrow for an XL groin box. By Matt Johnson on 22nd May 2010 ... (and I'm not boasting here), it is a little narrow for an XL groin box. By Mr. Douglas Brain on 21st April 2010 Very effective protection - I wear it for Krav Maga and it stops quite heavy blows to the area. Doesn't make it so people can go to town on you but you wont be rolling around on the floor after. I would say get a larger size though so you can wear it over your shorts / trousers. And black is nicer than white.
